How the natal chart is calculated and interpreted

This page explains how birth data become scores, an astrological chart, and your personal result.

Calculation principle

Each planet has a base weight. Its position in the natal chart determines which sectors receive that score.

Sector score = the sum of the scores of the planets placed in it.

FROM COORDINATES TO TEXT

How the chart becomes a personal interpretation

The interpretation is built in several consecutive layers. The site first constructs an exact chart and then selects explanations for the specific combinations found in it.

  1. 01

    Establish the birth moment

The city provides coordinates and a time zone. The local date and time are converted to UTC using the historical daylight-saving rules. If that clock time did not exist or occurred twice during a clock change, the site asks for clarification.

  2. 02

    Build the astronomical foundation

Swiss Ephemeris calculates the exact longitudes of ten planets, the true North Node, and Lilith; the South Node is placed exactly opposite the North Node. From the location coordinates, the Placidus system calculates the 12 houses, Ascendant, and MC.

  3. 03

    Map the chart’s connections

Each point receives a sign, degree, and house. Between the ten main planets, the site finds conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions within set orbs. The result is a structure of the whole chart, not just a standalone “zodiac sign.”

  4. 04

    Determine the basic profile

The weights in the table are totalled separately for the hemispheres, Yin and Yang, four life periods, three ways of influencing the world, and three modalities. The option with the highest total becomes dominant, while the result still shows the other scores.

  5. 05

Read the “how” and the “where”

A sign describes how a planet’s function is expressed; a house shows the area of life where it acts. The Sun describes potential, the Moon emotional response and recovery, Mercury thinking, Mars action, the Ascendant outward style, and Lilith a vulnerable or extreme theme.

  6. 06

    Assemble thematic conclusions

The career chapter is based mainly on the MC, the 10th and 6th houses, their signs, planets, and rulers. Money uses the 2nd house, its ruler, planets in that house, and Venus. Relationships use the Descendant, 7th house, its ruler, planets in the house, and Venus.

  7. 07

    Add only relevant refinements

Saturn, proximity to the Sun, Lilith, and significant aspects add detail to a chapter only when they directly connect to its planet, angle, or house. The final text is deterministically assembled from these rules and the calculated chart data; it is not selected as one generic horoscope.

How to read the result: when the same theme repeats across several chart layers, it becomes more prominent. One placement is a single brushstroke, not a final verdict about a person.
